Alan Harrison Captain 2010
Yes that's our Captain thinking he's got the passport to success, but Harry is full of ideas and can't help telling Alan where he is going wrong!

Hello members.  I would like to welcome you all to my season as Captain of the infamous Dallington Golf Society, along with my extremely worthy Vice Captain Mr. Steve (fergy) Ferguson. We promise a superb season of golf on  some beautiful courses and along with  your great  company we will all enjoy some fantastic days out. What more can anyone ask.

I have decided to stick to the  formula that Boney introduced last year of six events all taking place on Fridays (no one likes working on a Friday anyway).

I have booked some fantastic courses and have personally (don't ask!) taken a great deal of time to ensure they will be in the best possible condition  at the time we are playing them. There is one course that I believe is new to some of you. This is  Moor Hall Golf Club in Sutton Coldfield, a great test of golf, reminiscent of Frilford Heath. Here we will contest the Anthony Wall Challenge Cup which you will recall was kindly donated by Anthony  for the inaugural event in 2009.

Here is the full programme:

26.03.10 WINTER WARMER >  Weston Turville GC
16.04.10 ANTHONY WALL CHALLENGE CUP > Moor Hall GC
07.05.10 SPRING CUP > Studley Wood GC
04.06.10 SUMMER SHIELD > Luffenham Heath GC
09.07.10 AUTUMN PLATE > Longcliffe GC
03.09.10 CAPTAIN'S DAY > Overstone Park GC

For  details of each event,  just click the appropriate button top right and all will be revealed.

We are returning to Weston Turville for the first event on the 26th March which will give you a chance to shake off those winter blues and get swinging again. As last year the price will be just £15 which will include a slap up golfers fry-up in the evening. Don't miss it.
We are also returning to some old favourites, Studley Wood, Luffenham Heath(it's a long time since we last played this great course) and Longcliffe which is near Loughborough.
Finally I'm keeping the venue for my Captain's Day under wraps, but all will be revealed in due course. It will be an exciting finale, I promise!

Brian will be looking after the website, checking the books and chasing you for money so look out for his e-mails and try and pay on time.

Hope you can make as many events as possible this year. Look forward to seeing you there.
