ANTHONY WALL
CHALLENGE CUP
Friday 16th April 2010

Entry Fee: £65

RESULTS

The Anthony Wall Challenge Cup is the first qualifying event for the 2010 Order of Merit. Eighteen members entered  and were blessed with perfect, shirt-sleeve, spring weather. The course proved to be a very interesting mature parkland track, with some delightful holes, although the greens were heavily sanded and clearly hadn't recovered from the hard winter.

The  winner with 36 points was Les Bone, which means that this trophy has become a family affair- Chris won the inaugural event last year. Given the condition of the greens, and some very tough holes on the back nine where Les got two birdies and scored 19 points, this was a really excellent score. A mention too for Bernard Darby who ran Les close with a highly commendable 35 points.
