ORDER of MERIT

The Order of Merit is Dallington Golf Society's most prestigious award. It is the golfer who has performed consistently at the highest level  throughout the season in qualifying events that will secure this prize.

A qualifying event is one for which members compete for an established trophy. In 2010 there are five such events and the winner of the Order of Merit is determined by the member who achieves the best aggregate score from three of these events [but see below].

The final leader board  is shown below. The results from Captain's Day made no difference to the leaders in the Order of Merit based on the score from three of five events and so the target was adjusted to four from five to determine who is the most consistent player over the season. The clear winner of the Order of Merit and therefore Champion Golfer for 2010 is Tony Farrow. Congratulations Tony!
